Isadora Amaral is a Principal on Luminate’s Global Ecosystems team, based in Belém, Brazil. She works on strengthening the infrastructures that support global tech justice movements, with a focus on initiatives that connect actors across civil society, provide expert knowledge to groups pursuing accountability, and challenge concentrated tech power. 

Before joining Luminate, Isadora worked in the Brazilian judiciary supporting labour court decision making, with a substantive focus on mining accountability and the protection of workers, and of land and environmental defenders. She also worked with Brazilian civil society at Grupo Tellus, where she built frameworks, tools, and governance processes for the use of evidence and data in projects developed in partnership with local governments. She holds a master’s degree in Public Administration, with a focus on quantitative research methods and political economy.
